Abqaiq DPCU Project celebrates 2 million safe man-hours
On October 25, 2023, The Southern Area Gas Projects Division (SAGPD) celebrated the achievement of two (2) millions safe man-hours without Lost Time Injury (LTI) under Abqaiq Dew Point Control Unit Project (BI 10-02049). Representatives from SAPMT, LSTK Contractor, Subcontractor, and other stakeholders attended the event in Abqaiq DPCU worksite.

JGC Gulf International Awarded Dew Point Control Unit Contract in Saudi Arabia
The project is the first to be awarded under the Brownfield Long Term Agreement (LTA), which covers various EPC works for upgrade and modification of existing oil and gas facilities. The project scope will provide new gas Dew Point Control Unit at Abqaiq NGL Plants, and expected to be completed by 2024. JGC group has successfully completed and delivered number of mega-sized projects in Saudi Arabia. Moreover, since its establishment, JGC Gulf International Co. Ltd. has contributed to Saudi Arabia's localization efforts by transferring its technical expertise through training and project opportunities provided for its young Saudi engineers. The JGC Group is committed and will continue its contribution, by drawing on its accumulated EPC expertise and experience, acquired through projects completed in Saudi Arabia and all over the world.

IKTVA stands for the “In-Kingdom Total Value Add” (iktva) program, it was launched by Saudi Aramco to baseline, measure and drive increased levels of localization in its supply chain. The IKTVA program is designed to drive supply-chain efficiency, value adds across operations and creates a diverse, globally sustainable competitive energy sector within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support the long-term vitality of our commercial ecosystem. The IKTVA Program was launched in 2015 as a structured approach to localization. Every year Saudi Aramco recognizes the best-performing companies for their localization achievements and commitment during the annual IKTVA Forum. In 2020 IKTVA Forum “ JGC Gulf International Co Ltd” received the IKTVA Excellence award for the category “ Best in Exports- Services Sector”. The award was presented to Mr. Sachio Kaneko, President and CEO, JGC Gulf International Co ltd by HRH Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of the Eastern Province, in the presence of HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, HRH Prince Ahmad bin Fahad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, HE Yasir Othman Al-Rumayyan, Chairman of Saudi Aramco’s Board of Directors, and the Governor of the Public Investment Fund, Mr. Amin H. JGC Gulf International celebrates 10th anniversary
JGC Gulf International celebrated its 10th anniversary held at the Holiday Inn hotel in Al-Khobar recently attended by Sachio Kaneko, CEO of JGC Gulf international Co. Ltd; Esam Mohammed Al-Kadi, Senior Corporate Advisor; and Thamer Ayed Al-Marzoqi, Administration and HR Manager as well as a number of Company’s employees.“We are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the company, during which we have grown as the first IK EPC contractor in this field. Therefore, this is the first phase of the development of JGC Gulf International in Saudi Arabia,” said Sachio Kaneko, adding: “At the moment we are in the second phase of development, which means expanding the structure of the company by shifting from a Japanese company to a Saudi contractor which reaches the local market and the Gulf by applying international standards.” The CEO said “we are attracting experienced and qualified Saudis to fill vacancies in our company including leading positions in order to help run our business. However, this transformation will be achieved soon, and to achieve that we will seek to develop and change for the better by expanding our knowledge and performance and work in a team spirit.” Esam Al-Kadi pointed out that during the last 10 years, the global market of oil and gas was variable and as a result, many of our clients have reduced their spending and expansion plans for their facilities due to fluctuating oil and gas prices. “It was a challenge to us to continue our business and maintain our presence in this difficult environment. However, the company has completed 27 projects and 15 studies in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain,” said Al-Kadi On training and development, Thamer said “we seek to develop the competencies of our technical staff through professional training and courses outside the company, including working in the office of the main company in Japan.” He added that the company is keen to build working relationships and partnership with universities, institutes and competent authorities for human resource sources. the Saudi labor market and its outputs are rich of qualifications which meet the requirements of work and projects.” — SG

Iftar Party 2018
JGC Gulf held its yearly Iftar party at the Seef Center, Corniche, Al Khobar on May 23, 2018. Celebrating with JGC Gulf employees and family members were some of the VIPs of JGC Gulf’s prominent clients. In the celebration, awards for excellence were handed out to JGC Gulf Outstanding Employees while employees who have completed 5 and 10 years of service, along with selected employees were awarded JGC Gulf Way Award for their loyalty and contribution to the company.
